iPhone 18 Rumours Surface Amid iPhone 17 Launch in India

Apple’s iPhone 17 series has just hit Indian stores, but attention is already turning to the next generation. Early reports suggest the iPhone 18 lineup, expected in late 2026, may retain much of the current design while introducing a transparent touch.

iPhone 18 Design Leaks

Leaks from tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo indicate the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will likely mirror the iPhone 17 Pro series, keeping the 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays and the triple-camera layout.

The most notable change could be a slightly transparent back panel, potentially revealing internal components like the MagSafe charging coil, marking a first for Apple’s flagship devices. On the hardware side, Apple is rumoured to adopt a stainless-steel vapour chamber cooling system to manage heat during intensive tasks, a feature already seen in some Android competitors.

Analysts caution that the devices are in early development, so Apple could still tweak designs before launch. Previous leaks also hinted at a slimmer Dynamic Island notch for the upcoming series.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 series is now on sale in India, including the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, and the new iPhone Air. They ship with iOS 26, ProMotion displays, 18MP front cameras, 48MP rear sensors, and run on A19 and A19 Pro chips.
